AriDy Nox is a black, queer creative strategist and worldbuilder who utilizes their diverse talents to build pockets of liberation as frequently and joyously as possible. They are an acclaimed playwright, musical theatre writer, and dramaturg, as well as high experienced facilitator and non-profit professional.

They are an inaugural member of the Musical Theatre Factory MAKERS cohort (2019/2020), a Public Theatre Emerging Writer’s Group fellow (2020/2023), a Live and In Color June Bingham Commission Writer (2020/2023), a Playwrights’ Center Core Writer (2022/2025), a Rattlestick Theatre Van Lier New Voices Fellow (2023/2024), a Richard Rodgers Musical Theatre Award recipient (2025), and an Artist-in-Residence at Ars Nova (2025/2026). They have been privileged to do their work all around the world and in collaboration with many incredible people of various backgrounds.

One of the great inheritances of their ancestors is a gift for imagining and shaping new worlds, worlds that are free (or at least working to be free) of hierarchal oppression and steeped in defiant communal care. Whether it is through musicals or administrative processes, AriDy is dedicated to creating pathways to freedom that encourage people to shape a better world for themselves and their communities.
